Luton Tigers is a voluntary FA affiliated football club who are also involved with a disability project working with The Children’s Trust.
They aim to provide a place for children that aren’t necessarily involved with football to take it up as a positive outlet during the week.
They currently have six teams and have great aspirations to grow the club further with more teams and coaches by staying connected with the local community.
As a voluntary club that hasn’t been established as long as other football clubs, Luton Tigers' biggest challenge is reaching people and raising awareness of the club.
They wanted to promote their new trial day to encourage parents and children to come along and let the community know that everyone is welcome to join. This is where we stepped in, creating a print advert to go into their local paper to help raise their profile in and around Luton.
Appealing to the local community is vital for our football club so working with National World really helped us to achieve that local aspect.
The club discussed with the team at National World how they wanted to market their football club and presented a creative design that they had mocked up themselves. The team considered the advert in detail and went back to Luton Tigers with an improved design which achieved the outcome they wanted.
As a result of the advert, they were able to increase awareness and promote the club by reaching a much wider audience of people.
Placing a print advert in their local paper was quite a new experience for the client and they expressed interest in trying new and different ways to promote their football club. The team discussed online and digital options which they may look to incorporate into their marketing in the future.
National World are fantastic to work with; we couldn't be more pleased. It was a very guided process and managed extremely well. Communication was always constant and we were made to feel we could contact the team at any time.
