The Client

Lifeways are a national provider of care services, primarily for adults with a range of different learning and physical disabilities.

Their aim is to make the lives of those that they support better, helping to integrate people back into the community and to provide them with a level of independence. Lifeways support over 6,000 people across the UK and have around 10,000 members of staff.

They also have between 80 and 100 new housing developments in build over the next 12 months to supply supported living apartments to people with a variety of care needs across the UK, which is one of their biggest areas of growth.

The Challenge

Even though they are one of the larger social care service suppliers across the UK, one of their biggest challenges is getting in front of the right health care professionals to ensure that they have the referrals and the right level of funding available from local authorities. Plus, there is a large cost in recruiting and retaining staff due to the huge levels of employees that they have.

Lifeways needed help to raise awareness of the business so that they could continue to manage other multiple projects. They wanted an effective way of getting in front of the local community which is why they approached the team here at JPIMedia.

A print campaign was created to promote their new housing developments to help make families and the local community aware of what that particular property was going to be turned into. The campaign was designed to help raise awareness of the project as well as to show the quality of the builds that they produce and the range of facilities they provide.

The Result

From the print campaign alone, they not only saw an increase in enquiries but they also received seven calls specifically from individuals who wanted to live in the apartments and also from health care professionals wanting to refer people in that area.

JPIMedia took the time to understand our business and were very flexible as our needs kept changing. We advertised for two weeks across two newspapers and the team provided a cost effective package which saw great results. We will definitely continue to work together!

The team at JPIMedia also discussed digital options that could enhance their print campaign and as a result, Lifeways have also booked an online advertising package. The business hasn’t previously used this method of advertising but, after speaking with our team, now realise the two different audiences that this combination can help them reach. Print advertising help them promote their new property establishments more effectively, whereas online adverts can help them recruit more staff, ultimately helping them to achieve their ranging goals and objectives.
